A bit about me

Hello, my name is Martha and I am Head of Government Relations, Save the Children UK.

I have lots of experience of leading successful domestic and international advocacy campaigns and am well networked across UK politics and the corporate, international development and child rights sectors.

At Save the Children, I lead a team to deliver policy change that ensures children survive, learn and are protected. During my time at Save the Children, I have helped to secure a major child refugee resettlement commitment from the UK Government and to build and maintain cross-party support for the UK’s overseas aid commitment during a time of unprecedented attacks.

Prior to joining Save the Children, I worked for the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. Here I secured legislation to ban ‘revenge evictions’ in the private rented sector, a practice that left 200,000 people a year without a home.
